Cathy Kaywood, 73, of Erwin went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Erwin Health Care Center. She was born in Kingsport to the late Billy and Charmie Kaywood. Cathy was a loving daughter, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, David, Eugene, Ronnie, Clifford, Ralph, and Larry Kaywood; sisters, Dorothy Thompson and Lisa Kaywood.
Survivors include her sisters, Gladys Dean and husband Jerry, and Juanita Blair; along with several nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 1pm on Friday, January 2, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Pastor Tony Hobbs officiating.
A graveside service will follow at Gardners Chapel Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Erwin Health Care for their loving care. Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport is serving the Kaywood family.
