Gordon Lee Mofield, 70, of Polk City, Florida, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025, at his residence. He was born on July 11, 1955, in Joiner, Arkansas, to Harrison Robert and Ellie Marie Franks Mofield. Gordon was a lifelong resident of Florida.
Gordon had a deep love for music and especially enjoyed playing the bass guitar. He cherished spending time with his friends and family and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved. Gordon also adored his dog, “Jojo,” who was a constant companion. He was known as a sweet, caring, and very helpful person who was always willing to lend a hand.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Ellie Mofield; and his siblings, John Mofield, Buddy Mofield, Ellie Mofield, Peggy Mofield, Maudie Vann, and Rita Mofield.
Gordon is survived by his siblings, David (Cindy) Mofield of Clermont, Florida and Sue Sandusky of Alabama; his sister-in-law, June Mofield of Polk City, Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
