Linda Kay McConnell passed away surrounded by her family December 28, 2025 at the age of 80.  A funeral service is planned for Friday, January 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.  She will be laid to rest immediately after the service at Parkway Memorial Gardens.

Linda McConnell was a woman who embraced life with grace, curiosity, and an adventurous spirit. Born in West Virginia to the late Ronnie Esteppe, Jr. and Sybil Smith Esteppe . She lived many years in Florida before finally settling in Georgia. Linda carried the sunshine of "her Florida" with her wherever she went. She loved to travel, explore new places, and meet new people — always finding joy in the journey. A proud breast cancer survivor,  raising money for the cause. Linda faced life’s challenges with strength and resilience. She cherished simple pleasures, especially time spent around a card table laughing with friends, sharing stories, and making memories. She retired from Brown & Williamson, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed her hard work and dedication over many years. After retiring, she went to school to become a massage therapist. She loved helping people in pain.

Above all, Linda loved being a mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. She treasured her son, Chad, and her daughter-in- law, Tina, holding them close to her heart until the very end. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren: Devin (Melissa) and Lucy, and her precious great- grandchild, Mila, who brought light and laughter into her days. Linda will be remembered as free-spirited, loving, resilient, and full of life who was always up for a trip and a coke. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her son Chad Foreman(Tina) her granddaughter Lucy Foreman and her grandson Devin Foreman(Melissa) and her great grandchild Mila Foreman. She is also survived by her sister Joan McCaffrey of Tampa, Florida. She was also adored by many nieces and nephews.

May she rest in peace.
