Louise Elliott Clark, 84, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on December 25, 2025, with her loving daughter by her side. A beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, Louise will be remembered for her quick wit, competitive spirit, and boundless love for her family.
Born on July 21, 1941, in Wild Cherry, Arkansas, to Lehman Austin and Edith Copeland Elliott, Louise grew up in a close-knit family alongside her siblings Monroe, Dorothy, and Marian. She graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1959, beginning a life defined by dedication, humor, and creativity.
Louise married Gerald Adams, Sr. in 1960, and together they welcomed children who became her life’s joy. After divorcing, she later found happiness again with David Brown and completed her family with another son, and years later married Edward Clark in 2009, with whom she shared her later years in South Carolina and Arkansas. After Ed's passing in 2022, she returned to South Carolina to live with her daughter, Julie.
Professionally, Louise devoted 31 years as an accountant with Pioneer Hi-Bred, where she retired in 2006. Her colleagues knew her as dependable, meticulous, and always ready to lighten the day with a laugh.
Outside of work, she was rarely idle. A skilled seamstress, Louise sewed everything from wedding gowns to Barbie clothes, a reflection of her care and craftsmanship. She loved playing cards, working puzzles, and cross-stitching, and she rarely missed a chance to make someone smile with her jokes. An avid traveler, she explored nearly every state in the country.
Louise was a dedicated member of Grace Lutheran Church in Summerville, where she married her late husband, Ed, and built a treasured community of faith and friendship.
She is survived by her children Jerry Adams, Julie Adams Turok, and Cory Brown, her sister Marian Blough, grandchildren Kirby, Nick, Austin, Lauryn, Jordan, Katie and Zach and numerous cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Monroe and Dorothy, husband Edward, and daughter Kathy Adams.
A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date in her home state of Arkansas, where her life will be honored with love and laughter.
