Joseph L. Malone, Jr, in Bethesda, MD, on December 19, 2025. Formerly of Savannah, GA. Husband of the late Maureen (McGreevy) Malone and the late Shirley (Conover) Malone. Devoted son of the late Joseph L. Malone and the late Mary (Driscoll) Malone of Lynn, MA, and brother of Margaret (Frank) Fisher. Loving father of Joseph L. (Lee) Malone 3rd; Margaret A. Malone; Maureen R. Kelly; Patricia (Kevin) Aalbregste; Kathleen Leone; Mary (Joseph) Johnson; the late Thomas K. Malone; and the late John D. Malone (Geri Brennan). He is also survived by his sixteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He grew up in West Roxbury, Massachusetts and graduated from the Roxbury Latin School (‘49), US Naval Academy (BS, ‘53) and University of Chicago (MBA, ‘77). He had two ship-board deployments to the West Pacific region during his honorable military service as a US Navy Supply Corps officer from 1953-1958. He was a later a computer systems executive for Time, Inc. and later for Guideposts magazine. Visitation will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10AM at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 9701 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD 20814 to be followed immediately by the funeral Mass at 11AM.
