We remember the life of Hollis B. Green, who entered into the presence of The Lord, December 28th, 2025, at the age of 93. Hollis was born on October 12, 1932, in Biloxi, Mississippi and moved with his Coast Guard father and mother to Florida at the age of two. His early years were spent in the small town of Laurel Hill, Florida. 

From an early age, Hollis worked in photography, concluding his career as a Scientific Photographer with Civil Service, first at Eglin Air Force Base and finally at Patrick Air Force Base. As a young man, he served in the Army, where he was again employed principally as a photographer. This service helped to form his character, but it was faith that sustained his life. 

Hollis met his wife, Marjorie “Marj” Green in 1981 in an adult Sunday School class at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, and they were inseparable for 44 years! For many years, they attended Satellite Beach Methodist Church, where they became involved in the church’s Cuba mission in Mir, Cuba, traveling to Cuba many times and establishing a lasting relationship with Pastor Eglis Leyva Reyes and his wife, Marlys Hernandez Brito. Later, they became active and faithful members of Oceanside Community Church in Satellite Beach, where they continued support of churches in Cuba. 

Hollis is survived by his wife, Marj, and his son, Hollis Byron Green. 

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 11:00 A.M. at Oceanside Community Church, Saturday, January 3rd, 2026. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the Mortgage Reduction Pledge Fund of Oceanside Community Church.
