Patrick Matthaus Gerspacher passed away on December 20, 2025, in Edmonds, WA. He was born on April 24th, 1937, in Conrad, MT to Matt and Chrissy Gerspacher. He was raised in Sumas, Washington. Upon graduating from Nooksack Valley High School, he attended Western Washington University and then Central Washington University where he earned a BA in History. While attending Western, he met Marilyn Ladwig, and they married in 1961. Pat began work at Boeing and in 1962 he and Marilyn started a family. He also served in the Air National Guard. Pat was actively involved in the Meadowdale community. He coached little league baseball and youth soccer. An Eagle Scout himself, he was active in Scouting for his four sons, who all attained the Eagle Scout rank as well. Pat worked for Tri-W Distributors as a sales representative selling paint sundries across Western Washington, retiring in 2000. In retirement he enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad with his wife, family, and friends. Pat enjoyed golfing and could often be found on a golf course. He was an avid sports fan and regularly followed college and professional teams in Washington. Pat was a loving, supportive, and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Pat proudly attended countless games, recitals, concerts, and graduations for his 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Surviving Pat are his sons Mark (Elaine), Patrick (Becky), Timothy (Stephanie), and Steven (Rebecca); seven grandchildren, Laura, Sarah, Connor, Brenna, Ethan, Kate, and Presley; and 2 great-grandchildren, Madeline and Grace. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn, in 2021. A private family memorial will be held. Pat will be interred at Restlawn Memorial Park in Edmonds.
