Margaret Merry, 78, of Amsterdam, NY passed away December 20, 2025. She was born May 18, 1947 in Amsterdam, NY to the late Kenneth and Cleora (Miller) Merry.  

 

Margaret worked for Amsterdam Memorial Hospital for many years until her retirement. She was active in her church where she made many connections and friendships. In her free time Margaret loved to travel, she also loved being outdoors and taking care of her yard. She loved her family and spending time with them.  

 

Margaret is survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Merry; nephews Robert Merry (wife Lynn and son Kyle), Darryl Merry (wife Sharon and children Kendal and Brenden), Brian Merry (wife Anne and children Jessica and David); and cousin Jalaine McHale and her sons and grandson.  

 

She was preceded in death by her brother Robert.  

 

Margaret will be laid to rest in a graveside ceremony at Perth Cemetery in the spring.
