Paul K. Aikman passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, December 14, 2025, on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. He was 81.

He was raised by his parents Harold G. Aikman and Elinor Aikman of Springfield, Illinois. He married his wife Judy in 1970.

Paul served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years on Polaris Submarines. Upon discharge he completed his business degree at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina in 1975. He went on to obtain his C.P.A. certification, teach as an adjunct professor, and pursue his career in accounting.

Paul and his wife moved to Hilton Head Island in 1980 where he went on to open his own firm Aikman, Roberts C.P.A.’s.

Paul was a friend and mentor to all. He loved photography, technology, music, and his USC Gamecocks.

Paul is survived by his wife Judy, his son and daughter-in-law Keith and Jennifer Aikman, and grandchildren Ella Grace, Reid, Keith and Clara of Charleston, South Carolina, his daughter and son-in-law Alyssa and Chesley Goad, and grandchildren Delaney, Rutledge and Bailey of Columbia, South Carolina, his sister Merrianne Savage and husband Harry of Ashland, Illinois, his sister Jeanine Lee of Lake Forest, California, his sister-in-law Sandra Jordan of Danvers, Massachusetts as well as nieces and nephews.

Paul is preceded in death by his biological father, Kenneth King, his parents Harold and Elinor Aikman, and grandchild Leighton Good.

A private memorial celebration will be planned at a future date.
