Funeral services for Lois Hall, 93, of Lexington, SC, will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at Thompson Funeral Hall at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 845 Leesburg Road, Columbia, SC 29209 at 2 PM, with Pastor Ken Harmon officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park following the service. The family will greet friends from 1 PM–2 PM preceding the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Lois passed away on January 1, 2026. Born in Stephens, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Preston and Gracie O’Dell. She was a devoted member of Northwood Baptist Church in Lexington, SC until her health declined. Lois loved spending time with her grandchildren and most recently, her first great-grandson. She also enjoyed receiving the newspaper so she could work on the many puzzles inside which she always did using a ballpoint pen.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Debby Christie and Sandy (Damon) Walker; grandson Dixon (Chelsea) Walker; granddaughters Devin Walker and Daley Walker; step-great granddaughter, Layla Temples and great-grandson, Waylon Walker; and a host of other relatives; her caregivers, Maggie Lewis, Gloria Johnson, and Denise Young. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dell and son, John; her parents, Preston and Gracie O’Dell; her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Mary Lou O’Dell; her son-in-law, Cubby Christie.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Northwood Baptist Church, P. O. Box 2634, Lexington, SC 29071.
