Patricia "Pat" Moore Mitchell passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, at the age of 95. Born on December 13, 1929, in Charleston, South Carolina, Pat lived a life full of love, generosity, and devoted service to her family and friends.

She was the beloved mother of Kathie Burch Alford (Jamie) and Van Moore (Beth), and a treasured mother-in-law to Linda Moore. Pat took great joy in her role as a grandmother, leaving behind her precious grandchildren, Breck Burch (Erin), Kate Leffers (Russell), and Robert Moore (Sonnie), along with her seven adoring great-grandchildren, her devoted sister, Sylvia Williamson, niece, Vickie Davidson and nephew, Jay Williamson. She was preceded in death by her cherished son, Rob Moore. 

Pat's academic journey led her to earn both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. For over 20 years, she dedicated her career to teaching elementary school, serving in the Lake City and Hebron school districts. However, her true passion lay in private counseling, where she became a trusted confidant to many. Pat selflessly donated her time and wisdom, positively impacting the lives of both children and adults. Known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support, Pat was not only a devoted family member but also a loyal friend. She loved music, decorating her home, gathering with friends and family, traveling to new places, and indulging in the joy of reading. Her energetic and ambitious spirit inspired those around her and left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.  Pat was known not only for her warmth and generosity, but also for her beauty both inside and out. Her radiant smile, elegant style and genuine compassion made people feel instantly welcomed and deeply valued. Whether through a kind word, thoughtful gesture, or simply her steady presence, Pat had a rare way of making others feel seen and loved. 

A celebration of Pat's life is planned for the spring, where her family and friends will gather to honor her remarkable legacy.

In the words of all who loved her, Patricia "Pat" Moore Mitchell will forever be remembered for her loving heart and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed, yet her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
