Stephen Peacock, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, in Macon, Georgia, at the age of 71. A visitation is planned for February 28, 2026 between 1:00 PM and 1:45PM with inurnment immediately following at Magnolia Park Cemetery Mausoleum with Bruce Brookshire officiating. 

 

He was born on December 25, 1954, in Mesa, Arizona, to the late William E. Peacock and Laura Alice Biggs Peacock. He shared a loving and devoted marriage with Charlotte Gardner Peacock for 46 wonderful years, building a life filled with love and support. Stephen leaves behind his cherished children, Sarah Collins (Eric) of Centerville, Georgia, and John Peacock (Asja Bonitz) of Berlin, Germany, along with his adored granddaughter, Lumi Peacock. He is also remembered by his honorary daughters, Jami Hoselton and Hillarie Dixon, favorite cousin, Susan Peacock and dear friends, Ken Blair, and Paul and TJ Childree.

 

Stephen was a dedicated member of the community with a passion for creative arts. He graduated from Northside High School in 1974 and went on to earn a certificate in Graphic Arts from Houston County Vocational/Technical College in 1976. He worked tirelessly as a Master Printer from 1977 to 2016, contributing his talents to Charles Williams, Timberlake Grocery Company, and Panaprint. Upon retiring, Stephen relished his time as a husband, father, and grandfather, embracing every moment with his family.

 

His interests were diverse and reflected his vibrant personality. An ardent lover of art and graphic design, he also enjoyed music, attending concerts, and engaging with his towering collection of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy movies and books. His love for animals and technology was evident, and he found joy in playing video games and exploring the latest advancements in computers. His quick and sharp wit made him quite the jokester.

 

Stephen was actively involved in his children's lives, participating in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Awanas for many years. Additionally, he took pride in participating in Revolutionary War reenactments, demonstrating his enthusiasm for history and education. Stephen's life was characterized by love, creativity, and commitment to his family and community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stephen's name to the Houston County Humane Society, honoring his deep love for animals.

 

The family extends their heartfelt thanks for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
