Frances Jean Vestal, affectionately known as Fran, passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 86, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Born and raised in Indiana, Fran later made Florida her home for more than 35 years and proudly considered herself a true Floridian. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Jack Vestal, and by her parents, Sam and Mildred Boden.

She is survived by her daughters: Deborah (Paul) Schultz, Lisa (Brett) Sheets, and Brenda (Denny) Rodgers; her sister, Vickie Holden; and her five grandchildren: Jacob Sheets, TJ Schultz, Kaitlin Sheets, Sam (Josh) Wingett, and Will Schultz. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Fran enjoyed an active and creative life.

She loved golfing, fishing, and traveling, and she took great pride in her hobby of making pine needle baskets. Whether spending time outdoors or creating something by hand, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

Fran will be remembered for her love of family, her quiet strength, and the warmth she shared with those around her. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
