Janet Lorraine Schenk November 14, 1944 - November 6, 2025 Janet Schenk, 80 years old of Edgewood, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a farmer's wife passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital on the morning of November 6, 2025, with her husband at her side.  Janet was born in Tacoma, WA on November 14, 1944, to Roy and Geraldine Craig.  Janet graduated from Western Washington University.  Over her lifetime, she was a teacher, worked at Boeing and Vadis NW, but her main career was working for the Sumner School District as the office manager of the Performing Arts Center for 25+ years until her retirement.  Janet resided in Edgewood with her husband, Leon, on the same property for 60 years. Janet enjoyed tending to the farm animals and her dahlias in her garden. She loved to spend time with her children, friends and family.  In addition to her parents Janet was preceded in death by her oldest son, Andrew.  She will be greatly missed by her husband of 60 years, Leon Schenk, her children Stephanie Schenk, Daniel (Apryl) Schenk, Connie (Stacey) Ota and her daughter-in-law Kiley Schenk.  Her grandchildren, Michael (Preston), Zachary (Colleen), Ashlynn, Tyson, Tanner, Miley, Edgar, Leilani, Allyson, Makena and Makensey. A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date that will be announced.
