John Daniel Spaulding unexpectedly received his new permanent address in Heaven on December 8, 2025, leaving a profound sense of loss for all who knew and loved him.
John was born in 1978 in Wisconsin to parents Gene Spaulding and Glenda Spaulding-Lipps. He is survived by his wife, Megan Spaulding; children Ryland and Katelyn Spaulding and their mother, Christi Roepke; his father; his sister, Stephanie Spaulding; and his niece, Emily Spaulding, as well as several aunts and uncles.
John graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in finance. Early in his career, he had numerous finance jobs, and while living in Parker, Colorado, John worked in construction and learned the insurance ropes at Allstate. He went on to further his career as an accomplished American Family Insurance agency owner beginning in 2022. He described it as his “dream job come true.”
John was a proud Eagle Scout, devoted father, youth group leader, deacon at his home church, and ministry partner and husband to Megan for just over 10 years. He was an incredible cook and loved to bless others with delicious meals. Everyone who knew John knew that he loved Jesus and loved to serve others. The day before he “moved” to Heaven, he was finishing up his first Caribbean cruise with his wife, where they explored three new countries and made plans for their future together.
John deeply enjoyed the simple and meaningful moments of life. He loved cooking, being outdoors, and spending time in the mountains, including a memorable summer spent in Estes Park. He cherished playing video games with Ryland and was a devoted, playful dad to Katelyn, he especially loved dancing with her in the kitchen. John enjoyed traveling, trying new restaurants, walking their dog, Piper, and was a passionate history buff. As a family, they loved thrifting together, making memories out of everyday adventures.
His Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 3:00 pm at Parker Evangelical Presbyterian Church, located at 9030 Miller Road, Parker, CO followed by a light reception. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the GoFundMe set up to help Megan Spaulding with unexpected expenses.
John is now at peace, fully healed, and joyful in the arms of our Lord Jesus Christ
