Sean Patrick Taylor, 54, of Charlotte, North Carolina, was born on April 30, 1971, and went home to see his Heavenly Father on January 2, 2026.
Sean was preceded in death by his loving parents, Ira Hardy Taylor, Jr. and Joan Nolin Taylor, who undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.
He leaves behind a legacy of love through his cherished son, Landon Patrick Taylor, who was the pride and joy of his life. Sean is also survived by his siblings: Denise Nelson and her husband Sonny Nelson, Ira (Tige) Taylor, III, Tammy Taylor, Mark Taylor and his wife Marlo Taylor, Michael Taylor, along with step siblings Scott Reid and Susan Reid, and his stepmother Helen Crump.
A proud graduate of North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, NC, Sean spent much of his life doing what he did best, connecting with people. Known as one of the best car salesmen on the planet (and he would have happily proven it to you), Sean had a vibrant smile, a magnetic personality, and a gift for making anyone feel like an old friend within minutes of meeting him.
Sean lived life out loud. He was a devoted, if often disappointed, fan of the Dallas Cowboys, cheering them on faithfully year after year. He also had a deep love for softball, a sport that brought him joy, camaraderie, and plenty of stories that will be retold for years to come.
Above all else, Sean will be remembered for his warmth, his humor, and his unmistakable presence. He had a way of lighting up a room and leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met.
The family will receive friends on
Friday, January 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with a funeral service immediately following, atTribute and Tallent Funeral Home1937 N. Sharon Amity Rd.Charlotte, NC 28205.
Sean’s life was one of connection, laughter, and love and though his time with us was far too short, his impact will be felt forever.
