Rhonda Louise Doran, 72, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. She was born in Camp Lejeune, NC to the late Joseph and Rebecca Quillin. Rhonda was a loving person who never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member and attended Doran Addition Freewill Baptist Church when her health permitted. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Samuel Doran, brother, Robert Quillin; stepmother, Nell Quillin . 

Survivors include her loving husband of 57 years, Gary Wayne Doran; sister, Sarah Rogers and husband Marty; step-brother, Onia Lovin and wife Jennifer; sisters- in-law, Janice Quillin and Mary Ann Davidson; future sister-in-law, Judy Rodefer; brothers-in-law, David Doran, Gene Doran, and Eddie Davidson; special friends, John and Helen Pennington, Jerry and Nancy Whittamore; along with several nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Carter-Trent Funeral Home in Kingsport. A funeral service will follow with Buford Quillin officiating.  

A graveside service will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Morrison Chapel Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:15am to go in procession to the cemetery.  

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Wexford House and Dr. Stewart Stancil at Holston Valley Emergency Department for their loving care. As well as the staff at Carter-Trent Funeral Home especially Jacob.
