Jamie Lynn Risedorph, born January 7, 1956, to Dexter and Doris Risedorph, of Gloversville, New York, passed away at Nathan Littauer Hospital, on January 5, 2026.
She is survived by her husband, Clarence Foss, her sister Cheryl Miller, her cousin Peggy Abt, her aunt Kim Risedorph, her uncle James Risedorph, and her aunt Joanne Morgan, and her beloved cats.
She brought the warmth of her smile and friendliness to everything she did and to everyone she met.
Jamie had a deep love of animals, and 28 years ago became a vegan because she felt animals were to be loved, not eaten.
At an early age, Jamie realized she had an innate vocal ability and loved to sing. Throughout high school, she performed in numerous shows, local theater presentations, and later sang with local musicians and groups, and for several years performed in a duo with her husband Clarence.
She was part of the original team of The Wellness Center, working as a nutritionist and business manager.
Jamie was chosen to be the CFO and logistics coordinator of Bridge Arts Ensemble, a non-profit organization that brought world class singers and musicians to schools throughout the Adirondacks and Mohawk Valley.
When Jamie retired, she concentrated on her watercolor painting, including portraits of people, pets, and wildlife, and won a Jean Haynes award in 2025.
Pages could be filled with comments and her personal attributes. But those who have known and loved Jamie would probably find that those words could not say enough.
At Jamie's request there will not be any funeral services, but arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York 12078.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ayres Memorial Animal Shelter, Inc., 133 Hilltop Road, Sprakers, New York 12166.
