William “Bill” Sandras, Jr. entered eternal life on January 4, 2026, just weeks shy of his 83rd birthday. He leaves behind a legacy marked by quiet strength, adventurous curiosity, deep empathy, and a life well-lived in the company of those he loved. 

Born in New Orleans (Nawlins), Louisiana, with proud Cajun roots, Bill was later raised in western Colorado—a place that would shape his soul and capture his heart for a lifetime. Colorado was never just where Bill lived; it was where he breathed deeply, laughed freely, and built memories that still echo through mountains, trails, and campfires. 

Bill began his professional journey in the oil industry before earning a BA in Statistics and Production Management and an MBA in Management Science from the University of Colorado. His career would eventually lead him to Hewlett-Packard, where he distinguished himself as a leader of integrity and innovation. It was also at Hewlett?Packard where Bill met the love of his life, Konnie—through a story that never failed to make him smile. One day, Konnie “accidentally” took Bill’s lunch off the edge of a flower box. Rather than being upset, Bill was intrigued. A missing lunch led to a conversation, a conversation led to laughter, and before long, love grew from a moment neither of them could have planned but both would cherish for a lifetime. 

After leaving HP, Bill founded Productivity Centers International, a consulting firm that established him as an international leader in quality control manufacturing. Yet despite professional success and global recognition, Bill never measured life by titles or achievements—but by people. 

The outdoors were never about adrenaline alone. Skiing, camping, enduro motorcycle riding, and off-roading legendary Colorado trails like Black Bear Pass and the backcountry around Marble were sacred spaces for connection. These were the places where laughter came easily, conversations deepened, and love took root. Many remember the family adventures—especially those shared with Konnie, riding alongside him on her unforgettable purple Yamaha. 

After retirement, Bill and Konnie continued their shared love of discovery, traveling the world together—from India and Bhutan to Machu Picchu, France, Greece, Egypt, Alaska, Switzerland, and beyond. Yet once again, it wasn’t the destinations that mattered most to Bill; it was who he was with. His greatest joy was always found in shared experiences, not solitary accomplishments. 

Bill was a man of quiet empathy and deep compassion. He felt things deeply, even when he didn’t always put words to them. Tears would often stream down his face as he listened to stories of recovery, redemption, and rescue—whether watching them unfold on a screen, hearing real-life testimonies from Eric’s church serving the margins, or reflecting with pride on Greg’s military service and achievements. Bill carried the stories of others in his heart, and he believed deeply in the power of transformation, courage, and grace. 

Above all else, Bill loved his family. He is survived by his sister, Dee Grinewich, and her son Matthew; his eldest son, Greg with his wife Jennie, and their son Trystan; and his younger son, Eric with his wife Cindy and their children Dakota and Carter. 

Alongside Bill stood Konnie—his partner in life, love, and work—who helped him build a business, build a home, and lovingly raised two rambunctious boys. 

While we grieve his absence, we give thanks for his presence. We celebrate a life rooted in faith, shaped by love, and poured out quietly for others. Bill’s story reminds us that grief and gratitude are not opposites—they often walk hand in hand. And we trust that the God Bill believed in now welcomes him with the words every faithful soul longs to hear: “Well done.” 

His legacy lives on—in mountain trails remembered, stories retold, values embodied, and love passed forward.
