Jeannine M. Jurman, 89, of Sewell, NJ passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Born in Philadelphia, Jeannine was a lifelong resident of South Jersey. On May 25th, 1957, she married the love of her life, her husband, Joseph A. Jurman - and they settled in Oak Valley where they raised their family and lived for many years. Later in life, Jeannine and Joe loved to spend time at the shore and enjoyed summers with family at the campground in Sea Isle City. When she wasn’t at the shore or the campground, Jeannine spent years working for Underwood Hospital in Woodbury in the housekeeping department. Jeannine was guided by her strong faith - she loved God, adored her church and prayed every day without fail.
In her later years Jeannine loved to shop - always buying gifts for friends and family. She was especially creative and enjoyed spending her time crafting things and giving them toothers - whether it be crocheted blankets for her grandkids (and great-grandkids), framed color drawings or potted clippings from her favorite plants - it was rare that she didn’t have a gift to give someone, or a new project to complete.
Jeannine was predeceased by her husband Joseph A. Jurman, her parents, Newton Eugene and Helen (McGarrigan) Miller; her siblings, Helen Rita, Eugene, Michael, Daniel and Zoe; her daughter, Kathleen Jurman; and her granddaughter, Sara Beatty. Jeannine is survived by her children; Joseph Jurman, Deborah (Frank) Beatty, Robert (Debbie) Jurman and Mark (Kelly) Jurman; 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Jeannine is also survived by many extended family members and many special friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Monday, January 12, 2026, beginning at10:00am at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, NJ. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00am.
Interment will be held privately for the immediate family.
