Bob Head, 87, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 5, 2026.
He was born in Scott County, VA to the late Ballard and Marcia Head on December 20, 1938.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maudella Head; five brothers and two sisters one of which was Thelma (Don) Tate who helped care for Bob until her passing.
Survivors include his caregivers, nephew, Tim (Lisa) Presley; cousin, Bonnie (Ed) Wilson; along with several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5pm to 7pm on January 13, 2026, at Scott County Funeral Home.
A funeral service will follow with Elder Oscar Irvin officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2025, at the Powers Cemetery in Robinette Valley. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
