Victor Oney Garcia, 87 years old, went home to be with the Lord in Heaven on the evening of January 1st, 2026, peacefully in his home.

He was reunited with his wife of 60 years whom he had been widowed from for 4 years. They met at a dance at the American Legion shortly after he got out of the Navy.

Victor was brought into the world on October 6th, 1938, in Trinidad, Colorado to his parents, Theodore Garcia and Mary Cordova. He attended high school and then served in the Navy for three and a half years. After serving his time, he got a job working at Coors Brewery in Golden, Colorado as a millwright and a welder, and retired after 33 years.

Victor was always a man of faith and joined the church along with Bible studies in his home. He enjoyed his hobbies, such as woodworking and building outdoor furniture and decor for their backyard. He will be remembered as such a light. He was always happy and full of jokes and loved to be surrounded by family.

His favorite pastime was to watch his westerns, eat sweets, and shoot rubber bands at homemade targets. He would tell stories about his life, mostly to always get us to laugh. He would walk in a room and get you with a gag gift or hide your belongings until you left. He was full of love and life and made everyone feel so warm.

He is survived by his 4 children Victor Jr. & Angela Garcia, David & Theresa Garcia, Paul & Roberta Garcia, and Renee & Frank Duran. He also leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and surviving siblings, Carmen Maldonado, Patrick Garcia, and Alex Garcia.

He joins in Heaven his wife Mary Garcia, his grandson, Paul Jr. Garcia, and great-grandson, Angel Gallegos, as well as his parents and loved ones.

He will be forever missed and greatly cherished.
