Timothy Paul Luehrs, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, was welcomed into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Timothy lived a life rooted deeply in faith, love, and service. His unwavering belief in Christ guided every aspect of his life and shaped the way he loved his family, served his community, and supported his friends. He spoke often of his faith, sharing how it was the foundation of his joy, hope, and peace.
Timothy proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves. He continued his commitment to service through his work as an ammunition chemical operator for BAE Systems, formerly Holston Defense, where he worked for several years with dedication and integrity.
A lifelong Lutheran, Timothy was an active and faithful member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kingsport. He served his church and lived out the Gospel daily, always eager to share God’s love with others through both word and action.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Esther Luehrs, and his stepmother, Evelyn Luehrs.
Above all else, Timothy’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tamatha Luehrs of Kingsport, Tennessee; his son, Timothy “TJ” Mark Walter Luehrs of Kingsport; his brother, John (Beth) Luehrs of Chattanooga, Tennessee; sisters-in-law Deb (Trudy Beck) Clark of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Karen Clark of Church Hill, Tennessee; Alison ( Willis) Shaffer of Church Hill, TN.; nieces Summer Clark of Church Hill, Tennessee, Sterling Kaye and Tallulah Luehrs of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and his special little buddy and great-nephew, Courtland Clark. He is also survived by several uncles, aunts, step-siblings, and cousins.
Timothy loved sports, motorcycles, and telling vivid stories that brought laughter and connection to those around him. He was fiercely loyal to his family and friends and offered constant love and support. He will be forever cherished in the hearts and memories of all who knew him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kingsport, Tennessee, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
