Wanda Toothman passed away at home in Eagle, Idaho, surrounded by family, on December 29, 2025, at the age of 91.  She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Born on July 14, 1934, in Mullan, Idaho, to Roy T. and Edna V. Fitz.  Her family moved to Bellevue Idaho when Wanda was 16.  Wanda graduated from Bellevue High School as Salutatorian.  She married Melvin Worthington in 1952 and they had three children: Denise, Sandy and Teresa.  Wanda and Melvin later divorced.  In 1963, Wanda married the love of her life and soul mate Jack Toothman, and together they shared 56 years of marriage. Jack had three children: Jim, Jana and Tammie.

Wanda was employed at Ketchum Drug Store, Ketchum Bowling Alley, Chateau Drug, managed a home daycare, owned B&J’s Sports Chalet and did bookkeeping/payroll for Jack’s logging business.  She also earned her real estate license in the 80’s.  Together Wanda and Jack developed many properties.  Wanda designed their dream home in Eagle in 1998.

Wanda loved to fish, sew, bake fancy and fun cakes, and cook for big family get-togethers.  Wanda and Jack loved to travel.  They travelled to all but two states.  Other travel included Mexico, Europe and Israel. Wanda especially enjoyed riding a camel in Israel.  She loved playing games and baking cookies with the grandchildren and later with the great grandchildren.  They took their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren on many road trips.

Wanda was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her daughter Teresa, granddaughter Patrina, her parents Edna & Roy Fitz, her sisters Florence Coates and Caroline Fitz, nephew Aaron Coates and niece Gloria Clark.
