"Do not let your hearts be troubled... I am going there to prepare a place for you." John 14:1-3
Karen Javier was born on March 9, 1959, to Alvin and Delia Trammell. She passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026. Though she lived in many locations as a child of an Air Force family, Karen always called Michigan home and was a proud, lifelong fan of the Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions.
Karen married Alvin Javier on June 8, 1993, in Olongapo, Philippines. Together, they built a beautiful life that took them across the globe—from Texas, Germany, and the Philippines to Alaska. One of her favorite places in the world was Disney World; she and her family even traveled to Disneyland Paris multiple times to share in that magic.
Throughout their marriage, they were blessed with two sets of twins. They first welcomed daughters Janie and Jennie on December 29th, followed three years later by sons Justin and Joshua on December 8th. Karen found her greatest joy in her family. While she loved being a mother, she truly cherished her role as a grandmother.
Karen had a passion for the simple joys: Little House on the Prairie, thrift shopping, a good plate of fish and chips, coffee, and long road trips. She was a radiant light who brought joy to everyone she met. She treated everyone with unwavering kindness and respect, regardless of who they were, and she would want those she left behind to do the same. Family was her priority, and her greatest wish was for her loved ones to live in peace and harmony.
Karen is survived by her devoted husband, Alvin Javier; her children, Janie, Jennie, Justin, and Joshua; her beloved grandchildren, Jaylen and Luella; her brother, Greg Trammell; and her Aunt Molly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Delia Trammell, and her brother, Gary Trammell.
We all love and miss you so much. Until we meet again.
