Robert John Daubenspeck, age 66, of Loveland, went home to be with the Lord on January 9th, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Robert (Bob) was born on May 25, 1959, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. He spent his childhood roaming South Second Street, listening to Bob Dylan and creating a neighborhood newspaper. After graduating from Dieruff High School, he attended Pinebrook Junior College, where he met his beloved wife Gail, and Geneva College.
Despite a car breakdown mishap on their first date, Bob and Gail married in 1982 and went on to have two children, Allison and Sarah. He was most likely to be seen with a video camera in hand, chronicling important events and traditions in his family life and leaving them with priceless memories.
He started his career as a Lehigh County Deputy Sheriff and then moved on to human resources at various meatpacking plants in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Colorado. Most recently, he was the Chief Business Officer for Curally, an innovative healthcare company.
Bob’s favorite role, however, was that of “Pop-Pop” to his 6 grandchildren. To them, he was a part time magician, joke teller, and homemade pizza maker. He imparted his love for the Green Bay Packers and his world-famous cinnamon toast.
Bob is survived by his wife Gail Neumann Daubenspeck; his children Allison (Tim) Rasmussen and Sarah (Brent) Buckner; his grandchildren Hudson, Lydia, Isaiah, & Jeremiah Rasmussen and Jackson and Jameson Buckner; his mother Roberta Grammes Daubenspeck; his sisters Peggy (Roman) Gudz and Patricia Daubenspeck; many nieces and nephews, and last but not least Daisy the mini Bernadoodle.
In our grief, Bob’s family remains grateful for the memories we shared and that we were “together on a little wave of time lifting up to eternity.” He will be forever missed.
The family will be honoring Bob in a private gathering.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to: Faith Church Loveland, an incredible faith community that meant so much to Bob.
