Frances Jaramillo

October 10, 1941 - December 21, 2025

Frances was born in Gill, Colorado, on October 10, 1941, and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her children in Denver, CO, on December 21, 2025.

When Frances was young, she played softball and graduated from high school as a top student. She and her cousins would hang out and go dancing together. She loved Elvis Presley and would play her favorite songs loudly, and from time to time, she would dance as if no one was watching. Frances had retired from Denver Health Medical Center, and she loved to go to Bingo every Tuesday with her granddaughter, Alexis, in hopes of winning the big one! She enjoyed sharing her popsicles with her great-grandchildren, Arlo and Kyra. They would play “Peek-A-Boo” every day, and all would laugh together when they found each other. She fulfilled her life, and she loved to travel back home to New Mexico to visit her boys, grandsons, and extended family, not to mention have a good ‘ol dish of New Mexican food, such as enchiladas and tostadas. She liked attending live music concerts, the ballet, and on top of that, she loved her Denver Broncos and WWE. When she was watching either one of her sports, you did not disturb her as she was the biggest fan!

Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Tomasa Hernandez, and her brothers, Richard Hernandez, Alex Hernandez, and Arthur Hernandez. She is survived by her beloved children, Michael Jaramillo, Ricky Jaramillo, Serapio (Jerry) Jaramillo, and Elizabeth Jaramillo; and her beautiful grandchildren, Alexis Jaramillo, Matthew (Jerry) Jaramillo, and Justyn Jaramillo. She had two great-grandchildren whom she cherished dearly, Arlo Jaramillo and Kyra Jaramillo. Her brother’s Frank Hernandez and Gilbert Hernandez, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was a strong, devoted mother, grandmother, and GiGi who was always thinking of others first. She was a kind, honest, and generous person who accepted everyone for who they were. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
