Mr. Stanley Zygmond, Sr. age 73, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Friday, January 9, 2026, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale surrounded by family. Mr. Zygmond was born November 9, 1952, in Trenton, New Jersey to Edward Benjamin and Helen (Novick) Zygmond. He was an Auburndale resident since 2018 coming from Davie, Florida. Stanley was a retired Master Electrician in the Heavy Equipment industry. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven and a 4th Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus. Stanley was an avid reader of various religious books and the study of different beliefs. He enjoyed watching Fox News, debating different topics and loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers – Peter, James, Emil, Stephen, Joseph & Henry. Stanley is survived by his loving family, wife of 44 years – Ruth Zygmond; 2 sons – Stan (Kristina) Zygmond and Christopher (Naesha) Zygmond; daughter – Katherine (Michael) Ivers; sister – Susan Stephan; 8 grandchildren – Victoria, Stanley, Henry, Aaron, Asher, Norah, Michael & Maeve. A funeral mass will be held 11am Friday, January 23rd at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 532 Avenue M NW, Winter Haven, with a visitation beginning at 10am at the church. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
