Ms. Jean Ann Lord Shiver, age 74, a resident of Auburndale, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale surrounded by family. Ms. Shiver was born April 28, 1951, in Greenfield, Massachusetts, to Albert Lyndon and Thelma Rosamond (Carpenter) Lord. She was an Auburndale resident since the 1950’s coming from Massachusetts and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1969. Jean was a Caregiver for over 40 years and a past dispatcher for Commercial Carrier Trucking, Police & Fire Departments. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburndale where she was an active in the choir and volunteered. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers – Robert & Richard; infant sister and companion – David Suit. Jean is survived by her loving family, 2 daughters – Christina (Rick) Collins and Kimberly (Michael) Lane; 2 brothers – David (Katherine) Lord and Dr. Henry (Ilze) Haire; 5 grandchildren – Caitlin Felton, Eric (Morgan) Shiver, Christopher (Becca) Lane, Michael (Morgan) Lane Jr. and Jonathan Lane; 5 great grandchildren – Charlotte, Oliver, Felix, Ireland and Tillie. Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, January 22nd at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
