Elizabeth Anglin, 95, from Summerville SC
Elizabeth "Betty" Anglin passed away in the early morning hours on January 12, 2026. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on July 3,1930, she was the only child of Franklin and Martha Heffner. She attended the University of Minnesota until she was educated enough to know that she hated shoveling snow, and subsequently moved to Panama City Florida. It was there she met Earl, the love of her life, and crafted an enduring marriage that lasted over 63 years. Betty worked and retired from the banking industry. She enjoyed sewing, music and dancing; especially on Saturday nights when she and Earl would go out "jukin" to favorite tunes like "Mustang Sally". She was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church since 1967, where she served in the choir, the altar-guild, and along with Earl, polished the brass fixtures and doors each week to ensure there was a welcoming and luminous shine. She is survived by her three children: Marty (Alan) Davis of Columbia, William Anglin of Summerville, and Bobbi Anglin of Tucson Arizona; four grandchildren: Elizabeth Davis of Charleston, Lynn Davis of Columbia, Miranda Eikenbery of Charleston and Jordan Anglin of Summerville: and one great-grandchild, Lucas Eikenberrry of Charleston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl. Betty was, above all, a woman of faith. She read a chapter each night in her bible, was guided by uncompromised values, and set the example for the way we should all live our lives. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Burial will be held at the family cemetery in Burnsville NC. at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, located at 206 Central Avenue, Summerville SC, 29483.Donations
