James (Jim) Clifford Herbert Wade, 80, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Loveland, Colorado. Born on July 18, 1945, in Clarinda, Iowa, Jim was the son of Barbara and James Wade. He grew up with a strong sense of family that would guide him throughout his life. He grew up in Missouri and Nebraska and enjoyed spending the summers with his grandfather on his farm. He graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1963. He later moved to Denver, Colorado, where he meet his wife of over 50 years, Pat. They moved to Loveland in 1983 to raise their family. Jim built a long and steady career with US Foods, where he worked diligently until his retirement in 2012. His work ethic and reliability earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike. After retiring, Jim embraced the opportunity to spend more time pursuing his passions and enjoying the company of loved ones. A member of St. John's Catholic Church in Loveland, Jim was a proud Senior Knight with the Knights of Columbus. His involvement reflected his deep commitment to service and fellowship within his faith community. Jim had a lifelong love for classic cars and could often be found admiring their craftsmanship or attending local shows. He also enjoyed watching classic television shows that brought back fond memories of earlier times. Traveling was another joy in Jim’s life—he appreciated the chance to explore new places and create lasting memories along the way. Family was always at the heart of Jim’s world. He took an active role in the lives of his children as they grew up, helping out in their many activities—from scouting adventures to band performances and clogging events. His presence was constant and supportive, leaving behind cherished memories for those who shared those moments with him. Jim is survived by his son Joshua Wade, daughter Hilary Putman and son-in-law Brian Putman. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Patricia Wade; his mother Barbara Wade; and father James Wade. A viewing will be held January 19, 2026, from 4-7 PM at Viegut Funeral home 1616 N Lincoln Ave, Loveland, Colorado.
