Edna E. Anadio, 77, of Gloversville, NY passed away January 9, 2026. She was born January 23, 1948 in Berlin, Germany to the late Raymond and Ingeborg (Unger) Smith.

Edna enjoyed arts and crafts, and loved to crochet. She proudly sold her crafts on her Etsy store, Oma's This and That. She also enjoyed the outdoors, tending to her garden and flowers. She was a phenomenal cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family. She was an avid fan of the Herkimer Generals softball team and Greenbay Packers football. She was a diehard New York Yankees fan through and through, if she could not watch them on TV she would listen to the game on the radio.

After raising her family, Edna went back to school to earn her Medical Transcriptionist Certificate and worked from home for several years. After her full retirement, she continued to work part time for St. Mary's Healthcare.

Edna will be remembered as a fierce protector of her family, her loyalty to family was unmatched. She was a strong woman, tough until the end, but had the biggest heart and radiated warmth to all who had the pleasure to know her. Her family will remember her amiable nature, she had the ability to offer a listening ear and comfort to anyone who needed it, whether she knew you well or not.

Edna is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Peter Anadio, Sr.; sons Raymond (Sheryl) Anadio, Steven Anadio, and Peter Anadio, Jr.; daughter Victoria (Paul) Tucker; grandchildren Franklin (Marijane) Anadio, Samuel Anadio, Evan Anadio, and Laurel Tucker; siblings Ray (Margaret) Smith, Pamela (Joseph) Crocetta, and Michele (Bob) Clark, and her aunt Sylvia Millett in South Carolina. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as her cousins in Germany.

In addition to her parents, Edna was also predeceased by her beloved best friend Chewy.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Edna's name may be made to ASPCA.

The family has chosen to remember Edna's life privately at this time, and a celebration of life will take place in the spring.
