On January 12, 2026, Aden Richard Wheeler left this world to be with his Savior. He was born August 5, 1927, in Woodland, California to Newell and Amy Wheeler. Later that year the family moved to Idaho to the farm on Eagle Road. He attended Ten Mile Grade School and graduated from Meridian High School in 1945. He served his country by enlisting in the Navy after graduation. He married his high school sweetheart, Doris Huntsinger, in 1947 and they celebrated their 78th wedding anniversary last September.
Aden followed in his dad's footsteps operating the dairy farm, doing custom farm work and auctioneering. He worked at multiple auction barns in the treasure valley and was inducted into the Auctioneer Hall of Fame in 2015. Dad was a charter member of Ten Mile Community Church.
Aden was a man of faith and quietly demonstrated the fruits of the Spirit by how he lived his life. His son Ted remembers how a man mentioned to Dad that he liked his leather coat and Dad took it off and gave it to him. His impact on those who had the honor to know him was profound.
Aden was a big lover of the outdoors. He especially loved taking his family and friends up to Lucky Peak to waterski. He taught his four children how to step off the dock on a single ski without getting wet. After retirement he became an avid reader, finishing several books a week. Aden and Doris became members of the Kuna Kaveman Travelers and enjoyed many excursions with the Good Sam Community. He especially delighted in his time at the Warm Lake family cabin where fishing, roasting marshmallows, evening drives looking for deer, playing pinocle and doing cabin projects were all shared with family and friends.
In 2015, Aden and Doris made the decision to move to Touchmark at Meadow Lake Village in Meridian. Dad took up pool and looked forward to pool days with his new buddies. Even though he had lost most of his sight, with help from his friends, he would occasionally celebrate a win. The sound of his whistling will be missed in the hallways and dining room.
Aden is survived by his wife, Doris; children: Ted (Linda) Wheeler; Peggy (Ron) Stenquist; Adrianne (Mark) Fisher; and John (Darlene Wethered) Wheeler; 11 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Aden was loved and lovingly cared for by the Touchmark staff. The family would like to thank the staff for becoming a part of our family.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 20th at Hilltop Community Church (formerly Ten Mile Community Church), 4440 E. Columbia Rd. in Meridian, Idaho.
A private family ceremony will be held at Kuna Cemetery at 10:30 AM.
Viewing will be 5 - 7 PM on Monday, January 19th at Accent Funeral Home, Meridian Idaho.

We Entrusted Aden Wheeler's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
