Charlene G. Foreum passed away in Junction City, Oregon, and resided in Junction City surrounded by her loving family on December 12, 2025. She was born on March 12, 1943, in Welsh, Colorado, to Benson R. and Rosalie Cordell. Charlene married James R. Foreum on November 23, 1970, in Sweet Home, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband James on April 25, 2014, and her son Rodney on May 7, 2024. Charlene is lovingly remembered by her children and spouses: Tracy Thornton and Dale Natsky of Springfield, Oregon; Paul and Irene Foreum of Oakridge, Oregon; Ralph Foreum of Oakridge, Oregon; Roger and Sandy Foreum of Eugene, Oregon; and Terry Shandy of Eugene, Oregon. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Charlene is further survived by her sisters LaRae Edwards of Springfield, Oregon, Jean Huston of Durkee, Idaho, and Faye Thomas and Nancy Mae Brill, as well as her brother Duane Cordell. Charlene worked as a librarian and crossing guard for Santa Clara Elementary School in Eugene, Oregon, and later worked at Timber Tapes in Eugene, retiring in 2000. She enjoyed anything to do with Elvis, roses, flowers, gardening, and camping. A viewing and funeral will be held at Springfield Memorial Gardens, located at 7305 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon 97478, on Thursday, January 15, 2026. The viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m.
