Daniel Chorly passed away peacefully at the age of 63 on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, at HCA Hospital in Largo, Florida, surrounded by those who loved him.

He was born on July 5th, 1962, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to the late Madeleine Marseille and Jean Louis. Daniel later immigrated to the United States, where he lived in Miami and Colorado before eventually settling in North Port, Florida. Which became his home for nearly 24 years, a place where he built lasting friendships and meaningful connections.

Daniel was a devoted friend with a generous and compassionate spirit. He never hesitated to help others, whether it meant driving friends where they needed to go despite his amputated leg, offering shelter, or simply being present when someone needed support. His kindness, resilience, and willingness to give of himself left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He was a beloved brother to the late Hebert Chorly and is survived by his sister-in-law, Rose-Marie. Daniel was a devoted uncle to Carline, Emmanuel, Aurelie, Cassandra, Samantha, Markenson, Christanley, and Lauren, all of whom he loved deeply.

A funeral service honoring Daniel’s life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Charlotte Memorial Funeral Home in Punta Gorda, Florida. The viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service.

Daniel will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives he touched. His kindness, generosity, and quiet strength will be remembered always.
