Lisa Marie Carley, 63, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026. She lived a vibrant and passionate life marked by deep devotion to her family and an enduring love for mountains, sports and community.

Lisa was born on December 9, 1962, in Kankakee, Illinois. Lisa was the daughter of Charles and Charlotte Tobin. She graduated from Bishop McNamara High School as part of the Class of 1981 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southwest Texas State University. Her academic journey reflected her determination and enthusiasm for learning. It also brought her great friendships that lasted throughout her life.

After college Lisa worked as a manager at Black Eyed Pea restaurants in Dallas and Denver before working at Reiver’s in Denver. She was a longtime bartender at the Cherry Cricket inDenver. Lisa and her husband Chris founded Hillcrest Grill in Denver. Throughout her years in Denver, she collected many more friendships that also lasted throughout her life.

Known affectionately as "Toby" by many close to her, Lisa was a woman of boundless energy and warmth. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went, embracing life with a fun-loving spirit. She made friends easily and all of them were very important to her.

Her son Brendan was born in 2001 and quickly became the focus of her life. One of her greatest joys came from watching Brendan play sports, especially hockey. She was his most devoted supporter, always present with encouragement and pride. She also loved being a part of the Forever Hockey Family.

Her athleticism was evident in her love for tennis—a sport she played with passion and skill. She was a member of various Mesa Verde teams in the Pacific Sun League and enjoyed friendly matches at the club many times a week. Tennis was another area where she gained many friendships that she truly cherished.

Lisa is survived by her beloved husband Chris; their cherished son Brendan; her sister Laura; her brother Patrick; numerous nieces and nephews; grand-nephews and a grand-niece.

Lisa’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her—as a caring wife, devoted mother, loving sister, spirited aunt, and loyal friend. We hope that her memory brings a smile and comfort to all who were touched by her presence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 17, 2026, from 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM at Mesa Verde Country Club 3000 Clubhouse Road, Costa Mesa, CA.
