Carol Dorothy Heilmann Culver, born on June 24, 1935, in Astoria, New York, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, in Ocala, Florida. She was the cherished wife of the late Jared Culver and beloved daughter of Henry and Madeline Heilmann.

Carol embraced life with grace and dedication, culminating in a career as a registered nurse. She graduated from Odessa Central High School and furthered her education by graduating from The St. Joseph's School of Nursing and Elmira College in Elmira, New York. Carol held her profession close to heart, relishing the opportunity to care for her patients throughout her career as a Registered Professional Nurse, hospital administrator and teacher until her retirement in 1979.

Deeply rooted in her family, Carol is survived by her children: Kimberlee Culver Gerstenberger (Conrad), David Culver (Deanna), Kathleen Culver Hornbrook (Ray), Philip-Henry Culver (Christy), and Steve Culver. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren: Bradley Hornbrook, Philip Culver, Jr., Court Culver, Jacqueline Gerstenberger, Teag Culver, Brock Culver, Racquel Gerstenberger, Gil Culver, Charlotte Culver, P.T. Culver, and Lainie Culver.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Good News Church and The Azalea Circle of the Pioneer Garden Club.

An avid painter, Carol found joy in creating beautiful landscapes and shared many treasured moments with Jared tending to their home and garden. Together, they enjoyed travels, including memorable cruises along the Mississippi River and to Alaska, creating a tapestry of memories steeped in love and adventure.

Carol's family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff at Windsor for their compassionate care during her and Jared's final years.

A viewing will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a service at 1 p.m. The service will take place at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Home, 910 East Silver Springs Blvd, Ocala, Florida.

As we remember Carol, let us celebrate her warm spirit, nurturing heart, and the love she unconditionally provided to her family. She will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
