It was an immediate sense of sadness when our mom, Martha Davis, died unexpectedly on December 21, 2025. She moved to Tucson only a few months ago, but struggled with her health as well as continuing to mourn the loss of her husband in 2023 after being married for 55 years. She had not been without Dad since she was 18 so the last two years were very difficult for her even though she deeply loved and enjoyed all the family and friends who surrounded her.
Her health seemed to be turning around recently and we were looking forward to spending the Christmas holiday together. We are so grateful to all the people who took time to visit with Mom, to minister to her soul. That last hug when I dropped her at her apartment the Thursday before she passed is seared into my heart as I could feel a happy, content spirit in her. She was settling into her new life in the desert. God had other plans for her!
All four of her children, three children by marriage, five grandchildren, three grandchildren by marriage, and four great-grandchildren live on to celebrate her memory. We miss her so much but are so grateful her salvation in Jesus was her focus and comfort. It is impossible to be sad in this loss because of this peace. God is always good. Until we see you again, Mom!
