Wayne M. Hudson, age 58, of Johnstown, NY passed away peacefully at home on January 16, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born on September 20, 1967, in Saratoga Springs, NY.  He graduated from Johnstown High School in 1986 where he excelled as a three sport athlete competing in football, basketball and track and field.  Following high school,  Wayne began what would become a distinguished 34-year career with UPS, retiring in 2020.

Wayne’s passions included golf, cheering on the Miami Dolphins, spending time at the Saratoga Race Course, and enjoying a good cold beer.  Above all, he was known for his fierce loyalty, heart of gold, and willingness to always be the first to help a family member or friend in need.

Wayne was predeceased by his father, Wayne P. Hudson, his mother Jacqulyn F. Hudson, his sister; Lori M. Hudson; and his father-in-law, Thomas Hidde.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kim Hudson, his sister; Kelly Hudson (Dan Russo); his brother, Michael Hudson (Heather Hudson); his mother-in-law, Rose Hidde; his brother-in-law, Jason Hidde; his stepdaughter, Samantha O’Donnell; and his stepson, Matthew O’Donnell. He is also survived by his beloved nieces and nephews; Ryan Faville (Cassie Faville), Sarah Howland (Chris Howland), Madison Hudson, Sean Hudson, Harper Hudson, and Matthew Hudson.

A private service will be held at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY with  Fr. Nathaniel Resila as Celebrant.  Burial will follow at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Wayne’s memory to the NY Onocology Hematology Amsterdam Center, 1700 Riverfront Center, Amsterdam, NY 12010
