Robert Milton Tyree, Jr. went to be with the Lord peacefully at his home on January 17, 2026. A lifetime resident of Lynchburg, VA. Robert was born on May 4, 1959 to Robert Milton Tyree, Sr and Mary Williams Tyree in Lynchburg, VA.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents.
Robert is survived by his son Robert A. Tyree, brother Mark A. Tyree (Terry), sister Deborah Farthing Chaffin (Richard), mother of their son Penny Tyree Riddle, sister in law Hazel Tyree, nephews Hunter Tyree (Rebecca) and Lucky Tyree, niece Chynna Gross, three great nephews Abel Tyree, Holden Tyree and Beckett Tyree, one great niece Averie Tyree and many loving extended family members.
Robert will be remembered by his gentle, kind and caring nature and his love for helping others. Robert loved working outdoors, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his closest and dearest friends. Robert was a member of Court Street Methodist Church.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at Diuguid Funeral Service Chapel, 21914 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at 12 noon with Pastor Matt Heckman conducting the service. The family will receive friends from 11 am to 11:45 am. Burial following at Fort Hill Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Robert A. Tyree, Mark Tyree, Hunter Tyree, Lucky Tyree, Richard Chaffin, Jeff Viar.
