Susan Rogan Torrez, a vivacious spirit born on May 22, 1951, in the charming town of Bluefield, West Virginia, bid this world goodbye on January 16, 2026, in Winter Haven, Florida. She is survived by her husband, Richard Torrez, and her three beloved sons, Thomas, Donald, and Robert Fry, along with her wonderful daughter-in-law, Laura Fry. Susan leaves behind a constellation of family, including her brothers, Mike and Bill Rogan, her sisters, Carol and Kitty Rogan, and a myriad of grand and great-grandchildren who will always remember her zest for life.A woman of many talents and an even more generous heart, Susan was known for her engaging conversation and a natural propensity to trust anyone—after all, every great road trip needs a navigator who believes in the goodness of humanity! A true family-oriented soul, her laughter was the soundtrack of countless gatherings, where the sweet delight of snacks and ice cream was never far from reach.Susan cherished her hobbies, indulging in her literary passions, crocheting cozy masterpieces, and immersing herself in the worlds of movies and soap operas—much like a life writer weaving the threads of her own story. Her love for country music swayed her spirit, setting the rhythm for adventures on the road.We invite family and friends to gather, share stories, and celebrate Susan's remarkable life at a memorial service held at the First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake, located at 2500 US Hwy 17 South, Eagle Lake, FL, on Saturday, February 7th, from 2 PM to 5 PM. Join us to swap fond memories, chuckle at her delightful gullibility, and relish the legacy of love she imparted upon all of us.While Susan may have left her earthly body, her love and laughter will continue to resonate within our hearts, reminding us to enjoy the little moments and maybe indulge in an extra scoop of ice cream here and there.
