**Obituary for Sharon "Elaine" Lewis** Sharon "Elaine" Lewis, born on September 6, 1949, in the charming town of Donalsonville, Georgia, has left us all on January 19, 2026, in Winter Haven, Florida. She is preceded in death by her mother ,Juanita Barlow, her father ,Collie Pate, her brother, Cary Pate, and her grandson ,Eric Lewis. She lived a life full of kindness, warmth, and an unwavering spirit that could brighten even the dullest days. Elaine was not just a homemaker; she was the heart of her family. With a knack for making everyone feel loved and included, she mastered the art of nurturing, similar to a well-tended garden where the blooms just keep coming. She took immense joy in watching her children—Darrell Lewis and Snead Lewis—grow into the fine individuals they are today, complemented by the pride she felt for her daughters, Cary Metzker and Lory Mayes. Her legacy will undoubtedly be carried on through her husband, Lynn Lewis, her beloved kids, grandkids, her sisters, Minnie Clemmons and Colleen Grinslade, and a constant stream of nieces and nephews who knew they always had a supportive cheerleader in their corner. Family and friends will gather to bid a fond farewell at the Kersey Funeral Home, located at 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, FL. Visitation will commence at 9 AM on Saturday, January 31st, followed by services at 10 AM. In true Elaine fashion, all of her loved ones are invited to come share stories that evoke laughter and fond memories—because if she taught us anything, it’s that there’s always room in life for a little humor. In accordance with Elaine's loving spirit, please send flowers to the family home at 2927 Elm Street, Winter Haven, FL, 33881, where her love will surely bloom forever. Elaine may have moved on from this world, but her kinder-than-kind persona and honest laughter will resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was a beacon of hope, a wellspring of honesty, and a true friend to those in need. As we say goodbye, we remember the extraordinary woman who made the ordinary seem remarkable and taught us that life's sweetest moments are best celebrated surrounded by loved ones.
