Daniel B. Buchheit Jr., proud Marine and loyal friend, lived life on his own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. Born and raised in Clayton, Missouri, he was an energetic young man who loved woodworking, art, and rock music. He also had a keen interest in cars and motorcycles, reflecting the curiosity and independence that stayed with him throughout his life.

A sharp shooter in the United States Marines, Dan served his country with honor and courage. He also showcased his strength and teamwork on the football and wrestling teams at Clayton High School. Beyond his achievements, he shared his unique sense of humor and carried a deep love for his family, leaving cherished memories for all who knew him.

He is survived by his sister, Jennifer Landau (née Buchheit); his children, Hannah Buchheit, Nick Buchheit, and Erika Lewis (née Buchheit); and his granddaughter, Arwyn. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel B. Buchheit and Donna S. Buchheit. He will be remembered for his courage, his friendships, and the joy and laughter he brought into the lives of others.

Family, friends, and all who knew him are invited to honor him at his military funeral service, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Florida.
