Christopher Lee Eickstaedt, 55, of Shelton, passed away on January 6, 2026, after a battle with chronic kidney disease. He is remembered for his strength of character, his love of music and football, and his kind, welcoming smile that touched many lives.

Chris was born on October 5, 1970, and grew up in Shelton, Washington. He attended Shelton High School, where he was a standout athlete and a beloved member of the football team. He was a two-time First Team All-League selection and helped lead his team to division championships. Chris also became a state champion in weightlifting, a reflection of the dedication, discipline, and drive that stayed with him throughout his life.

After high school, Chris attended Boise State College and The Seattle Art Institute. He went on to build a remarkable career spanning more than 30 years in the music industry, working in concert and personal security. Known for his professionalism and calm presence, Chris provided personal security for major touring acts, including Nickelback and Mötley Crüe. He was deeply respected by colleagues and artists alike for his reliability, loyalty, and steady demeanor.

Outside of work, Chris had a lifelong love of music and football. He enjoyed being part of the energy behind live shows and remained proud of his athletic roots. Above all, Chris was someone people trusted—quietly strong, protective of those he loved, and generous with his time and presence.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Jean and Gene Benedict, and Joan Lynch. He is survived by his father, Larry Eickstaedt; his brother, John Eickstaedt; his sister, Rachel (Jeff) Grant; his beloved nieces and nephew, Roger Schuettke, Mason Dreon, and Cooper Dreon; and several members of the Benedict family.

Chris will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on January 31 at Alderbrook Golf and Yacht Club.
