We celebrate the life of Clifford Stanley Hess, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on January 9, 2026.

He was born on October 25, 1953, in Seattle. Washington. Stan is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Hess and Lucille Toomer and his brothers, Carey and Randy. He is survived by his beloved wife Melanie, his sisters, Kathleen Morgan, Pam Bye, Jean McEachern, and Luanne Hess, and his brother, Craig. In his immediate family, he leaves behind three daughters, Kelsey (Eric) Marler, Sarah (Ryan) Willardson and Lindsey (Samuel) Lyle, his two sons Jason (Lara) and Jeffrey (Maria) and 26 grandchildren. Each loved him and was loved in return.

Stan had an infectious personality. He loved the Washington Huskies, music (he could sing any song and name the artist from the 50s through the 80s), and spending time with his family. In his early professional career, Stan worked in city and state government and political campaigns. He later became an attorney. He had great faith in Jesus Christ and a great hope to be with all his family in heaven someday.

Funeral services were held in Stan's beloved state of Washington through Beck's Funeral Home and Restlawn Cemetery, Edmonds, WA.
