William J. ”Bill” Finster, 51, of Jamesville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 19, 2026.
If you knew Bill, you knew he lived life to the fullest. He was the life of the party - someone who could light up a room and make you laugh even on your darkest day. Bill enjoyed long rides on his Harley and proudly rooting for the New York Giants. His love for his family was immeasurable, especially for his beloved baby girls, Kaycee and Kenna, who meant everything to him.
Bill was preceded in death by his father, “Big Bill” who passed away on December 24, 2017.
He is survived by his daughters, Kaycee Hawk and Kenna Finster; his mother, Roxanne; his sisters, January and Bobbie; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Bill also held a special place in his heart for Courtnei and Kaya, loving them as his own. He is also survived by his lifelong BDP brothers, Vernon O’Donnell, Brian Montgomery, Peyton Smith, Alex Santos and lil’ Shane Miller, whose bond with Bill was unbreakable.
Celebration of Life will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at the Valley American Legion Post 1468, 110 Academy St, Syracuse, NY 13207 from 1-5PM.
