Arleen M. Luther, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 20, 2026.
Arleen was born on December 29, 1941, to Henry and Elizabeth Scherrer (née Herkowski). She married the love of her life, Jerome Luther, on August 10, 1963. Together, they shared 62 beautiful years of marriage and were blessed with three children.
Family was the center of Arleen’s world; she was endlessly proud of her children and grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them. Arleen loved to travel and recently enjoyed a cruise with her entire family — an unforgettable trip that held a very special place in her heart. She had a passion for sewing and lovingly hand made many treasured items for her family, each one a lasting expression of her care and creativity.
Arleen will be deeply missed by her devoted husband, Jerome; her children, Lorrie (Brian) of North Carolina, Carrie (Ron) of Brookfield, and Julie (Russ) of Dousman; and her cherished grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jeff), Jase, Lauren, and Ryan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Patricia.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until the start of the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at St. William Catholic Church, 440 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
