Sara J. "Sally" Cebula, 94, of Amsterdam NY passed away January 19, 2026. She was born on December 11, 1931 the daughter of the late Raymond Schulz and Margaret Daley Schulz of Amsterdam.
Sara attended local schools graduating from Amsterdam High School the class of 1949. She was united in holy matrimony to Mr. John Cebula on April 25, 1950. Sara was a legal secretary for her entire career.
She enjoyed taking trips across the country with her husband John. She was an avid Yankees fan and loved visiting Yankee stadium to watch her favorite team play. In her spare time she enjoyed tending to her garden and weekends at camp on Sacandaga. More than anything she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sara is survived by her daughter Lynn Pareene (Neil); sons Mark Cebula (Margaret) and Brian Cebula (Deborah); grandchildren Dan, Eric, Mark, Mandy, David and Jason as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Margaret as well has her husband John Cebula who passed away in 2001. She was also predeceased by her son John Cebula and her brother Bud Schulz.
At Sara's request, a private service will take place at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude's or the Auriesville Shrine.
