Beverly Ann Waters, age 88, passed away peacefully in Roseville, California on January 4, 2026 with her family by her side.
She was born on March 27, 1937 in Winfield Kansas, graduating from Winfield High in 1955, where she was involved in theater and music. She loved living on her family’s farm, where her deep and lasting love of animals and gardening first began.
She married John Coleman Waters on June 3, 1956 and celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary before his passing in 2019. Beverly and John moved to California shortly after their wedding and lived in Chico, CA for over 60 years. She loved her children, was an active school volunteer, past PTA president, Girl Scout troop leader, and always supported any activity or sport her children participated in.
She was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church, where she volunteered tirelessly and where she loved to sing in the Choir. She was a favorite soloist of many area churches and weddings where her voice always brought people joy. She spent many years working as an optometry office manager where she loved meeting and helping patients.
She is survived by her son Steven (Coleen), daughter Tricia Egan (Tony), 3 grandchildren, Ryan Egan, Troy (Shelby) Egan, and Ashly Rhodes, 3 great grandchildren, Sophia, Jaxon, and Raelyn, and her godchildren Kiley and Austin Miller.
Graveside services will be held on February 6, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Chico Cemetery.
