Raihan Marjories Preston Denton was called home to the Lord on January 12, 2026. Born in Michigan in June 1975 to the late William E. Preston and Rukiye Anita Preston, Raihan lived a life marked by creativity, generosity, and deep love for family and community.Raihan grew up as a military child with her sisters. She spent part of her early childhood at Langley Air Force Base in Virginia and later lived overseas in Turkey, embracing her Turkish heritage. Afterward, she moved with her family to Satellite Beach, Florida, at the age of six, where she attended Sea Park Elementary, DeLaura Junior High, and Satellite High School. Later in life, she lived in different places around the United States, including Seattle, Washington, and Atlanta, before returning to Florida. She ultimately settled in the Orlando area with her husband to raise their sons.Raihan was beautiful inside and out. Her spirit, creativity, joy, and unwavering love will continue to live on through all who knew her. Her faith in the Lord was steadfast and deeply rooted, guiding her life with grace, compassion, and quiet strength. Even through the hardest season, she trusted God fully and inspired others to know and trust Him through her courage, peace, and unwavering faith.Raihan was an entrepreneur and educator. She was an artist and creator in every sense of the word—she sculpted, painted, wrote poetry, danced, designed interiors, and shared her gifts through art teaching classes. She was the owner of Sleeping Moon Café in Winter Park, Florida, and River and Bloom Event Center in downtown Melbourne, Florida. Through Paint Nite and her art teaching classes, she encouraged creativity, self-expression, and connection, helping others discover confidence and joy through art.Generous with her time and heart, Raihan volunteered for cancer causes and community fundraisers both locally and out of state. She was an organizer by nature, always ready to lend a hand, and had a rare gift for guiding people toward growth—helping them see possibilities they could not yet see in themselves. She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband and soulmate of 29 years, Jason Denton, her teenage sweetheart and constant, committed companion, who stood faithfully by her side through every season of life, especially when the road grew difficult. She also leaves her beloved sons, Reign and Raiden, who were her greatest joy. Their bond was rooted in unconditional and unwavering love, pride, and a dedication that shaped every part of her life. She shared an especially close and lifelong bond with her big sisters, Maliaka Singleton and Gina Dorman-her bests friends since  birth- a love marked by loyalty and enduring devotion, and her brother Parrish, whom she loved dearly.

She also leaves to cherish her memory aunt Fatoş Geçer; great aunt Ethel Mae Weaver; nephews Noah and Seth Dorman, Tyler and Alex McCullough, Carter and Parker Denton; nieces Ciara Singleton, Corina Luna, and Peyton Dorman; favorite cousin Demetrius Preston, favorite  cousin Niecee Jiles-Josie; mother- and father-in-law Lorilyn  and Charlie Gaudette; in-law Robin Futrell,  sister-in-law Nancy McCollough; Michelle Gaudette, brothers-in-law Josh Denton, Lance Dorman, Justin Hamlin, and Pat  Singleton; Special thanks to her dear cousin Betty Ann Richardson, Celestine Coleman,  Dannette Weaver-Jefferson and Mahurley Preston; best friends Rebecca Culp, Lisa Jamba, and Tiffany McClean; a host of cousins, family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched quietly and deeply that we may never know. Raihan’s light and goodness will never go out. The world is a better place because she was in it. May she rest in eternal peace with the Lord.
